David Hauser was born on the 2nd of September 1929 in Fehérgyarmat, in the Szatmar region of Hungary.

On the 24th of May 1944 he was deported on a transport from Hungary to Auschwitz-Birkenau.

On arrival at Auschwitz he passed the selection and received the number 5969A.

The Transport
On the 24th of May 1944 the RSHA transport of Jews from Hungary arrived at Auschwitz-Birkenau. On arrival, following the selection, 2000 of the deportees received the numbers 5729 – 7728A. The remainder were sent immediately to the gas chambers and murdered.
