A train of Jews being deported from Theresienstadt to Auschwitz, 1943. Prisoners being deported, Theresienstadt, Czechoslovakia.

A Jew who arrived at Auschwitz-Birkenau on the 25th of October 1944 from ghetto-camp Theresienstadt.
On arrival at Auschwitz-Birkenau he passed the selection and received the number 13700B.

The Transport
On the 25th of October 1944 an RSHA transport from the ghetto-camp Theresienstadt containing 1,715 Jews - men women and children - arrived at Auschwitz-Birkenau. During the selection 219 men were chosen to remain alive and were sent to various labor sub-camps of Auschwitz. 215 women passed the selection and were sent to camp B-IIb of Birkenau. The rest were murdered immediately in the gas chambers. 159 Jews from this transport survived until the end of the war.
