Comb that Rola Sochaczewski Received in the Lodz Ghetto in July 1944 as a Gift for her 21st Birthday

For his sister Rola's 21st birthday, Lova Sochaczewski made a comb from an aluminum jug and engraved the date: 13 July 1944. A short time later, with the liquidation of the Lodz ghetto, Rola, her sister Fira and her mother Rivka-Rachel were deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau. All three survived, were liberated from the Bergen-Belsen camp and immigrated to Eretz Israel (Mandatory Palestine).
