Fridays and Holiday eves: ‬09:00-14:00

Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and all Jewish Holidays.

Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10. Babies in strollers or carriers will not be permitted to enter.

Mutual Aid and Welfare During the Holocaust

Even before the Holocaust, the Jews of Europe and North Africa had established welfare and mutual aid organizations. Following the occupation, the Nazis dismantled these organizations, but the Jews re-established them clandestinely in communities, ghettos, concentration camps and even in the forests, while fighting with the partisans.
