The Jewish survivors in Landsberg managed to build a flourishing Jewish community in the camp that became a center for educational, cultural, religious and political activity. Many survivors married and began to build their own families. When the doors of immigration opened with the establishment of the State of Israel, survivors from DP camps all over Europe, including Landsberg, immigrated there, achieving their dream of building a sovereign Jewish homeland.
