Deportation of Jews from Bielefeld, Germany, to the Riga Ghetto, Latvia, 13 December 1941

In the first half of December 1941, the Jews of Bielefeld, Germany were gathered together prior to their deportation to eastern Europe.  On 13 December, approximately 1,000 Jews from Bielefeld were deported to Riga, Latvia, and almost all were shot on arrival.  A few were taken to the Riga ghetto, where they shared the fate of the rest of the ghetto's Jews.  Barely any of them survived the Holocaust.
