Apparently late in the summer of 1941, a group of Carpatho-Rus Jews who had remained in Orinin was told to assemble near the town, at a field near the Molotov Collective Farm, supposedly to be sent back home. After the Jews had assembled, a German unit arrived by truck, followed shortly by SS officers. After taking photographs of the victims, the Germans unloaded machineguns from the trucks and started shooting. Some Jews tried to escape but were caught and shot. Several young Jews maneged to escape the massacre.
