On November 26, 1941 14 Jews (including children) were collected by German troops at the army headquarters in Armyansk and then taken by truck to an old Tartar cemetery southwest of the village and shot to death. In March 1942 about 20 Jews were shot by German soldiers and buried in the Tartar cemetery.

The situation report of the local commandant’s office of Armyansk, November 30, 1941 For the sake of protection against the subversive activities of partisans and for the security of the units stationed here it was necessary to render harmless [sic] 14 local Jewish men and women. The execution [was carried out] on November 26, 1941.
