Shimon Peres and Mikhail Gorbachev at the Valley of the Communities

On May 29th, 2001, Foreign Minister Shimon Peres and Mikhail Gorbachev visited the Valley of the Communities at Yad Vashem. The Foreign Minister was interviewed as part of a German television series in which Gorbachev talks to world leaders. In the course of the visit, Peres pointed out the wall on which the name of his home town is engraved.
