Deputy Prime Minister of Ireland, Eamon Gilmore, at Yad Vashem Sunday

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland, Mr. Eamon Gilmore T.D., will visit Yad Vashem on Sunday, January 29, 2012. While at Yad Vashem, Mr Gilmore will tour the Holocaust History Museum, participate in a memorial ceremony in the Hall of Remembrance and visit the Children's Memorial. Ireland’s Annual Holocaust Memorial Day Commemoration will take place that same day, and will be addressed by H.E. President of Ireland, Micheal D. Higgins. On 1 December 2011 Ireland was accepted as a member of the International Task Force on Holocaust Education, Remembrance and Research (ITF).
