The First Lady of the United States, Laura Bush, accompanied by Mrs. Gila Katsav, will visit Yad Vashem, Sunday, May 22, 2005.
All journalists who wish to cover the First Lady’s visit must register by Sunday, May 22 at 10:00 and arrive at Yad Vashem on Sunday by 16:15 for security checks. We cannot guarantee that journalists who are unregistered or who arrive after that time will be able to enter. Only traveling press and journalists with valid 2005 GPO card will be allowed to enter.
Following are press arrangements for Mrs. Bush’s visit:
17:00: First Lady’s Arrival at Yad Vashem Closed
Holocaust History Museum: Pool photo - op Hall of Names
17:50: Wreath-laying Ceremony at the Hall of Remembrance: Open
18:00: Signing of the Guest Book, exit of Children’s Memorial: Open
The First Lady will not take questions at Yad Vashem.
