Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and all Jewish Holidays.

Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10. Babies in strollers or carriers will not be permitted to enter.

Yad Vashem YouTube Channel in Farsi to be Launched January 23

In advance of Holocaust Remembrance Day

Yad Vashem will launch a YouTube Channel in Farsi, as well as an expanded version of its Farsi website on January 23, 2011. An event marking the launch, in advance of International Holocaust Remembrance Day will take place at the International School for Holocaust Studies at Yad Vashem at 12:00 on January 23.

The event, in English, Hebrew and Farsi is open to the press. Avner Shalev, Chairman of Yad Vashem, Prof. David Yerushalmi, of the Center for Iranian Studies, Tel Aviv University, Prof. Yossi Matias, Director of Israel R&D Center, Google, and Yaacov (Jacki) Handeli, a survivor of Auschwitz will speak at the event.

The Farsi channel joins Yad Vashem’s other YouTube Channels in English, Hebrew, Arabic, Russian, and Spanish.
