Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and all Jewish Holidays.

Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10. Babies in strollers or carriers will not be permitted to enter.

Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Day April 20-21, 2009

The central theme for this year's Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Day is Children in the Holocaust.

The official opening ceremony will take place on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 20:00, at Warsaw Ghetto Square, Yad Vashem. It will be carried live on Channels 1, 2, 10, and 33 and on Kol Israel and Galei Zahal radio. President Peres, Prime Minister Netanyahu, Chairman of the Yad Vashem Council Rabbi Lau to speak at opening event at Yad Vashem. Singer Achinoam Nini (Noa) and young violinists to perform.

Yad Vashem will be closed to the public from 12 noon on April 20, and re-open on Tuesday, April 21 at 8:00 a.m.
