Commanders of the Israeli and German Air Forces to Tour Yad Vashem on Sunday, 17 October 2021

Commander of the German Air Force Lt. Gen. Ingo Gerhartz together with his Israeli counterpart, Commander of the Israeli Air Force Maj. Gen. Amikam Norkin, will visit Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center on Sunday, 17 October 2021. They will be greeted by Yad Vashem Chairman Dani Dayan.

The Commanders will tour the "Flashes of Memory: Photography during the Holocaust" exhibition and the Museum of Holocaust Art, participate in a memorial ceremony in the Hall of Remembrance, visit the Children's Memorial, and sign the Yad Vashem Guestbook. Afterwards, they will visit a tree honoring to Righteous Among the Nations Karl Laabs.

There will be photo-ops in the Hall of Remembrance, outside the Children's Memorial and by the tree . Media interested in covering the visit must RSVP to simmy.allen@yadvashem.org.il, and arrive at the Hall of Remembrance with valid GPO card and Green Pass, by 09:30.
