Jeff Goldblum

In preparation for his lead role in a Holocaust-related film "Adam Resurrected", Jeff Goldblum spent a number of hours in the Holocaust History Museum, as well as a visiting the Yad Vashem's Visual Center where he explored the Visual Center's computerized film catalog. After his visit Jeff Goldblum commented to the Ynet website that:

"My visit to Yad Vashem was one of the most powerful and emotional experiences I have ever had. The impact of this place is immense, and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Dana, the guide who accompanied me for almost 4 hours, told me stories I had never heard before about that horrific period. Her dedication to the subject and her involvement are truly admirable. I was really moved by all that. They also took us to the Visual Center, and were very helpful with the research aspect, which is crucial for our work in preparation for the movie. This role is a very challenging one, and research is essential. I didnג't see everything on this visit, and canג€™t wait to come back to Yad Vashem for another, more in-depth visit. This visit was a total knock-out for me. I cried from the moment I walked in and watched the film depicting the world that was. When I came out and saw the incredible view of Jerusalem, I knew that I would never forget that moment."

Producer Ehud Bleiberg, who accompanied Goldblum on his visit to Israel, added:

"The museum staff went out of its way to assist us, and we are very grateful. Yad Vashem is an institution of the utmost importance, and its contribution is unquestionable."

Roman Polanski
