Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and all Jewish Holidays.

Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10. Babies in strollers or carriers will not be permitted to enter.

Kosovo's Deputy Prime Minister Gërvalla-Schwarz to Visit Yad Vashem Tomorrow, 9 May 2022

Tomorrow, 9 May 2022, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo H.E. Ms. Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz will visit Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center. Minister Gërvalla-Schwarz will tour the Holocaust History Museum, take part in a ceremony in the Hall of Remembrance, visit the Children’s Memorial and sign the Yad Vashem Guestbook.

During her visit, the Minister will sign the first-ever Memorandum of Understanding officially establishing formal ties between Yad Vashem's International School for Holocaust Studies and the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation in Kosovo, a predominantly Muslim country in the Balkans, marking the start of Holocaust-education teacher training seminars. Yad Vashem has an international network of schools and educational services providers on six continents.

There will be photo-ops in the Hall of Names, at the memorial ceremony in the Hall of Remembrance, and outside the Children’s Memorial. Media interested in covering the visit must RSVP to simmy.allen@yadvashem.org.il, and arrive at the Hall of Names with a valid GPO card by 09:50.
