Tomorrow, 9 May 2022, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo H.E. Ms. Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz will visit Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center. Minister Gërvalla-Schwarz will tour the Holocaust History Museum, take part in a ceremony in the Hall of Remembrance, visit the Children’s Memorial and sign the Yad Vashem Guestbook.
During her visit, the Minister will sign the first-ever Memorandum of Understanding officially establishing formal ties between Yad Vashem's International School for Holocaust Studies and the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation in Kosovo, a predominantly Muslim country in the Balkans, marking the start of Holocaust-education teacher training seminars. Yad Vashem has an international network of schools and educational services providers on six continents.
There will be photo-ops in the Hall of Names, at the memorial ceremony in the Hall of Remembrance, and outside the Children’s Memorial. Media interested in covering the visit must RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org, and arrive at the Hall of Names with a valid GPO card by 09:50.
