Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and all Jewish Holidays.

Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10. Babies in strollers or carriers will not be permitted to enter.

Premier of North Rhine-Westphalia at Yad Vashem Tomorrow

Will sign declaration of intent to enhance cooperation on Holocaust remembrance and education

Hannelore Kraft, Premier of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany will visit Yad Vashem tomorrow, March 5, 2014. She will visit the “I am my Brother’s Keeper: 50 years Honoring Righteous Among the Nations” exhibition, participate in a memorial ceremony in the Hall of Remembrance, and visit the Children’s Memorial before signing the Yad Vashem Guest Book.

The Premier will then visit the Yad Vashem International School for Holocaust Studies, where she will meet with Holocaust survivor Dr. Ehud Loeb, and sign a Joint Declaration of Intent, with Yad Vashem Director General Dorit Novak, for the further enhancement of cooperation, particularly in the field of education. For over a decade, educators from North Rhine-Westphalia have attended seminars at the International School for Holocaust Studies.

The entire visit is open to print media aside from the meeting with Dr. Loeb. There will be photo – ops in the Hall of Remembrance, signing of the Guest Book and signing of the agreement.
