Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and all Jewish Holidays.

Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10. Babies in strollers or carriers will not be permitted to enter.

Yad Vashem to Host a Symposium in memory of Prof. Elie Wiesel, z"l in the Presence of Israel's President Reuven Rivlin

On Sunday, 6 November 2016, Yad Vashem will host a symposium entitled "We Must Become the Messenger's Messenger": The Legacy of Prof. Elie Wiesel, z"l. Israel's President Reuven Rivlin will participate at this event.

The event will start at 10:00 with opening remarks by Yad Vashem Chairman Avner Shalev and Member of the Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity – Israel, Dr. Joseph Ciechanover. There will also be a panel discussion on the topic of "Survivors and the Memory of the Shoah," with Prof. Hanna Yablonka, Dr. Shimon Azulay and Israeli poet Agi Mishol.

The event is open to the public; admission is free.

Simultaneous translation from Hebrew to English will be available.
