Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and all Jewish Holidays.

Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10. Babies in strollers or carriers will not be permitted to enter.

General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces to Hold Conference at Yad Vashem

Tomorrow, the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, headed by Lt. General Gadi Eisenkot, will hold its annual conference at Yad Vashem. The symposium, in which Yad Vashem Chairman Avner Shalev will participate, will address the topic: "Witnesses are Worthy of Memory: A Legacy of the Survivors' Spirit and Substance," and will include lectures and discussions as well as a memorial ceremony at the Hall of Remembrance at Yad Vashem.

Journalists and photographers interested in covering the ceremony must register with the Communications Division and arrive by 10:15 at the Hall of Remembrance with a valid GPO-issued Press Card and a valid passport or ID card.
