Kaethe Loewenthal (1877-1942)
Born in Berlin, Loewenthal studied art in Bern with Ferdinand Hodler. In 1902, she returned to Berlin, where she studied art with Leo von König and opened a studio of her own in Munich. In 1942, she was arrested while riding a bus. She was deported to the Izbica transit camp in Poland, where she was murdered.
