Born in Liptovský Mikuláš, Austria-Hungary, Müller studied at the Prague Academy of Art, and afterwards opened a private art school and auction house. In July 1943, he was interned in Terezin, where he worked as a nurse in Dr. Kurt Wiener’s Urology Department. He sketched the elderly patients and scenes from the ghetto. Between July 1943 and August 1944, Müller created more than 500 sketches, providing a unique testimony. In October 1944, he was deported to Auschwitz, where he was murdered.
