František Moritz Nagl (1889-1944)
Born in a village near Telč, Moravia, Nagl studied at the Academy of Art in Prague. In May 1942, Nagl was interned in Terezin, where he worked in the Technical Department and was forced to provide art and propaganda services for the Germans. He was deported to Auschwitz in October 1944, where he was murdered upon arrival. In 1950, his artworks were discovered in an attic in the Terezin ghetto.
