The Germans captured Parysow on September 17, 1939 and established a Judenrat a month later. A ghetto was set up in November 1940. The ghetto was liquidated on September 27, 1942, when its 3,500 inhabitants, including 2,000 refugees, were deported to Treblinka Death Camp.
