About the Moshal Shoah Legacy Campus
Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center, is the ultimate source for Holocaust education, documentation and research. From the Mount of Remembrance in Jerusalem, Yad Vashem houses a constant, continual growth of Holocaust-era art, artifacts and documentation. As the Torch of Remembrance is being passed to the next generations, Yad Vashem's collections play an increasingly important role in telling the story of the Shoah. Yad Vashem needs the space and conditions to preserve our art, artifacts and archival collections for the future. In light of the growth of our collections and the changes in preservation standards, Yad Vashem is establishing the Moshal Shoah Legacy Campus, and constructing The David and Fela Shapell Family Collections Center to contain new state-of-the-art repositories, which will allow for proper storage, preservation and conservation of the materials.
