Yitzhak Rosner was born in 1912 in Iasi, Romania and his son Shlomo was born in 1939. In 1942, Yitzhak was sent to forced labor in the stone quarry in the Falesti camp. In a chance conversation with an Austrian soldier in the camp, the soldier expressed longing for his son who was the same age as Shlomo. Yitzhak shared his yearning for his own son with the soldier, thanks to which he received an exit permit for 24 hours from the camp commandant in order to visit his son in Iasi. He kept the permit for the rest of his life.
The exit permit was given to Yad Vashem at a collection day in Be'er Sheva by Tsila Simon, Yitzhak Rosner's daughter.
