A table of Hebrew dates prepared by Moshe Menachem-Mendel Hershtik from Aninoasa, Romania, during his time in the Ilia labor camp.
Moshe Menachem-Mendel Hershtik was deported with his wife Rachel (née Goldberg) and four of his nine children to the Ilia family camp in Transylvania. There he established a synagogue and a heder (Torah school for young children). In order to maintain orderly religious and communal life according to the Hebrew calendar, Hershtik prepared a calendar from memory.
Moshe Menachem-Mendel's son, Yechezkel Hershtik, born in 1931, gave the calendar to the Gathering the Fragments campaign of Yad Vashem.
