New York Governor Visits Yad Vashem

Governor Andrew Cuomo was guided through the Holocaust History Museum by Dr. Robert Rozett, Director of the Yad Vashem Libraries

Governor Cuomo visited the Hall of Names at Yad Vashem, a memorial to the six million Jewish men, women and children murdered by Nazi Germany and its collaborators

Israel's President Reuven Rivlin and Governor Andrew Cuomo laid a wreath during a ceremony in the Hall of Remembrance, which bears the names of infamous death camps as well as the ashes of Holocaust victims

The Governor of New York Andrew M. Cuomo visited Yad Vashem on 5 March. The Governor toured the Holocaust History Museum, participated in a memorial ceremony in the Hall of Remembrance in the presence of Israel's President H.E. Mr. Reuven Rivlin and visited the Children’s Memorial.

During a short joint statement, Governor Cuomo remarked: "Yad Vashem... is a living lesson of what the Jewish people went through and what this world allowed them to go through."
