In our project we've chosen to demonstrate loss during the Holocaust by viewing it as a picture search in a local newspaper. Each postcard has a different story, while the reader's job is to help the characters find an item which has an element of survival: baby bottle, glasses, coat, bread, and medicine. We wanted to enhance the feeling of loss by a repetitive search of an element that doesn't exist in the drawing. After not being able to find the item in question, the reader may be able to feel, even if just a little, a sense of loss, frustration, and suffering that the Jewish nation has gone through via the Holocaust.
