Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and all Jewish Holidays.

Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10. Babies in strollers or carriers will not be permitted to enter.

Dr. Max z”l & Gianna Glassman, Canada

The tour of the New Holocaust History Museum ends with a balcony overlooking the dramatic view of the north-western portion of Jerusalem. This “World Rebuilt” balcony was generously endowed by Dr. Max and Gianna Glassman of Toronto. 

The son of Polish immigrants, Max Glassman is a graduate of Toronto University’s Medical School. During his career, he has devoted himself to Jewish and Zionist causes in Canada and Israel, as well as being deeply involved in the general community.

He has served on the executive committees of major  organizations including: B’nai Brith, Beth Tzedec Synagogue, State of Israel Bonds, Jewish Immigrants’ Aid Society and the Council of Christians and Jews.

Gianna Glassman is a graduate of York University and has been a teacher in the Toronto school system for more than twenty years.
