Blanket that toddler Beni Chaitas was wrapped in when he was smuggled out of Kaunas ghetto to the home of Kazys and Jadvyga  Tamašauskas, thanks to whom Beni survived

Jadvyga  and Kazys Tamašauskas hid toddler Beni Chaitas in their home after the child was smuggled out of the Kaunas ghetto, a short time before the ghetto's liquidation. The boy was hidden for two months in the Tamašauskas home. Had they not agreed to hide him, he would not have survived. Shortly after Beni was smuggled out, the ghetto was liquidated and the Jews were deported either to forced labor or to their deaths.
