New Display at Yad Vashem Showcases Survivor's Personal Items

Sunday, January 27, International Holocaust Remembrance Day, a special new display opened at Yad Vashem.  Some of the Holocaust survivors and their families who donated personal items to Yad Vashem were present at an emotional event where they saw their cherished items exhibited.  A special CNN report tells about the new display: "Gathering the Fragments - Behind the Scenes of the Campaign to Rescue Personal Items from the Holocaust."  

Also marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Yad Vashem had a number of traveling exhibitions on display around the world, and Yad Vashem historians, researchers and educators  participated in events across Europe,  and in Israel, the United States, Myanmar, Vietnam, Canada, and Venezuela.
