Situated on Jerusalem’s Mount of Remembrance, Yad Vashem’s 45-acre campus comprises all the necessary components for a meaningful and dynamic commemoration of the Holocaust and its six million Jewish victims. The Holocaust History Museum, the Hall of Names, the Hall of Remembrance, the Museum of Holocaust Art, the Valley of the Communities, the Garden of the Righteous Among the Nations and the outdoor memorials and sculptures are all an essential part of any visit to Yad Vashem.

Groups of 6 or more are required to schedule their visit in advance.
Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is permitted for children aged 10 and above. Special tours are available for families.

The tour is given by a certified Yad Vashem guide and is available in many languages. The tour takes between 2-3 hours.

Take an Audio Guide Tour of the Holocaust History Museum

An Audio Guide is available for visitors to the Holocaust History Museum in the following languagues: Hebrew, English, Arabic, French, German, Spanish and Russian.
Headsets can be rented at the Audio Guide desk, next to the Information Desk in the Visitors' Center. Hire fee: 25 NIS per headset.
Groups can rent the Audio Guide for a reduced rate of 21 NIS per headset at the Service Desk or the Groups Desk.

Survivor's Testimony (available only on week days (Sunday- Thursday), for groups of 10 or more participants) Meet with a Holocaust survivor and hear about his/her experiences during and after the Holocaust.

Hold a memorial ceremony in the Valley of the Communities with a cantor.
Lecture

Yad Vashem invites you to visit the Holocaust History Museum, accompanied by one of our professional guides. Watch survivor testimonies, view personal diaries, artifacts and works of art, and be inspired by the many moving stories woven into the chronology of one of the darkest periods in the history of mankind. When: Fridays. Time: 10:00 AM. Meeting Point: The Visitors' Center. Language: English. Cost: 32 NIS.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah Program

Yad Vashem has developed a special tour in the Holocaust History Museum to mark the occasion of a Bar or Bat Mitzvah. The tour focuses on the fate of children and teenagers, and on the challenges that faced the Jewish family during the Holocaust. At the end of the tour the Bar Mitzvah boy or Bat Mitzvah girl receives a special certificate commemorating a boy or girl their age whose memory they have undertaken to perpetuate.

Behind-the-Scenes Guided Tour

This private behind-the-scenes tour of Yad Vashem offers you a unique opportunity to explore the history of the Holocaust with a personal guide. During a 2.5-hour tour of the world famous Holocaust History Museum, your guide will lead you through each gallery, where you will discover the stories behind hundreds of items on display. At the close of the tour, several rare items from the Yad Vashem Archives that are not on display to the general public will be shown to you.

Special tour of the Yad Vashem Campus (excluding the Holocaust History Museum) This tour, intended for families with children under the age of 10, can include the Avenue of the Righteous Among the Nations, the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising monument, the Children's Memorial, the Synagogue, the Exhibitions Pavilion and and the monument honoring the doctor and educator Janusz Korczak.

Seminars

The Guiding Department organizes seminars that are modular and tailor-made to suit the needs of the group. The seminars can include the following components: A guided tour of the Museum, a guided tour of the Yad Vashem campus, lectures, survivor's testimony, screening of films and a ceremony.

Pre-Poland Mission Preparation (companies and organizations only)

Pre-Poland Mission Preparation (companies and organizations only)

This one day preparatory seminar is an important stage in the Poland Mission. The seminar is modular and tailor-made to suit the needs of the group. The preparation includes an introductory lecture about Jewish life in Poland, a special guided tour of the Museum based on the group's Poland itinerary, additional lectures and a survivor's testimony.
