Feast of Tabernacles at Yad Vashem

Shalom!

Greetings from Jerusalem! We recently finished the biblical holiday of the Feast of Tabernacles. During this Feast, Christians who are inspired by Zechariah’s biblical prophecy, make a pilgrimage from all over the world to Jerusalem:

“And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.” (Zechariah 14:16 NKJV)

During this busy period, we spoke with many Christians groups with many members who had never previously visited Israel. We decided to host a primary special behind-the-scenes VIP tour of Yad Vashem for ICEJ National Directors from our partner organization. It included a guided tour of the Archives where they saw some precious original artifacts. They also visited the Gathering the Fragments project which facilitates collecting documents, objects and photographs that tell the important stories of loved ones during the Holocaust, for preservation and potential use in the museum.

All donations given through us go to Yad Vashem's many activities and help achieve our important mission. I sincerely hope that, as you receive this greeting, you and your community will be inspired to continue supporting Yad Vashem’s vision of Remembering the Past and Shaping the Future.

If you have not already done so, we would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join our Facebook group for Christian Friends of Yad Vashem where you can share our news and connect with Friends worldwide. Please also visit Christian Friends Worldwide on the Yad Vashem website.
