Christian Leaders Remember the Liberation of Auschwitz 1945

Christian leaders from all over the world gathered in Jerusalem this week for an annual conference "Envision 2017" hosted by the ICEJ. The conference takes place as close to January 27 as possible – every year since 2012. These leaders come to Yad Vashem to experience the Holocaust History Museum and lay a wreath in the Hall of Remembrance. There is an understanding that what happened over seventy years ago is still relevant to our generation. Christian Friends of Yad Vashem is pleased to assist in organizing these commemorations.

On January 27 NRB (National Religious Broadcasters) network with many Christian broadcast partners around the world broadcasts a special program "A Nation Remembers". The program is actually the Holocaust Memorial Ceremony, which took place at Yad Vashem, Jerusalem in the spring 2016 during Yom HaShoah, a day of commemoration in Israel and many Jewish communities. Our broadcast partners feel that the ceremony at Yad Vashem  is the most appropriate content for the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The final edited program is in co-operation with the Christian Friends of Yad Vashem.

Warm wishes from Jerusalem,

Susanna Kokkonen
