This video contains excerpts from the Holocaust survivor testimonies of Yechezkel Hershtik, Edith Rotschild (Weiss) and Zissel (Zissi)-Charlotte Baum (Fleishman) about observing the festival of Hanukkah during the Holocaust.

Yechezkel Hershtik
Yechezkel Hershtik was born in Aninoasa, Romania in 1931. In this clip he describes pausing to light Hanukkah candles while they were being transferred, on foot, between the camps of Sacel and Iliora in Romania.

Edith Rotschild (Weiss)
Edith Rotschild (Weiss) was born in Balassagyarmat, Hungary in 1923. In this clip she describes lighting Hanukkah candles in the camp of Oberhohenelbe in the Sudetenland.

Zissel (Zissi)-Charlotte Baum (Fleishman)
Zissel (Zissi)-Charlotte Baum (Fleishman) was born in Dunajska Streda, Czechoslovakia in 1925. In this clip she describes how they used threads taken from their blankets to make Hanukkah candles in the Augsburg labor camp in Germany.
