The ChGK report from Alushta:
We, the undersigned… established the fact that … the entire Jewish population of the town [of Alushta] was murdered. A month after the German occupation the Jews had to wear distinctive signs [armbands with a Star of David] on their arms, then they were collected and shot to death in the park of Trade Union Sanatorium No. 7. The bodies of the shooting victims were dumped into a ditch near a cork tree. The number of those Jews was more than 250. Among the people shot were the members of the Dvorkin family: Yosif Dvorkin – an invalid 45 years old, his wife – Zhenia… who was 50, and [their] daughter Nina…; [members of another family] Solomon Shiman… 50 years old, and his wife Klara… both of whom were invalids; and others.
