Murder Story of Novo Poltavka Jews at the Novo-Poltavka Airfield

… On September 10, 1941 I personally saw the German Gestapo and the gendarmerie taking by truck innocent inhabitants from Novo-Poltavka to the air field on the village outskirts, lining them up at trenches, and shooting them with submachineguns. On that day the Germans shot about 800 Jews….

… On September 10, 1941 the German Gestapo and the gendarmerie drove Jewish inhabitants to the center of Novo-Poltavka village, loaded the latter onto trucks and took them to the village outskirts, where they lined them up at pits and shot them with rifles and pistols. I saw this incident with my own eyes and I also buried those civilians who were killed by the enemy… In the course of that day 864 totally innocent civilians perished [at the hands] of the Gestapo and the gendarmerie….

… On September 10, 1941 at 11 a.m. I personally saw the German Gestapo and the gendarmerie taking innocent Jewish inhabitants to the cooperative [building], the men to one half [of the building] and women with children to the other, and lock them in. Soon afterwards, on the same day, the Germans brought trucks there, loaded these Jews [onto them], and drove them outside of Novo-Poltavka village. All [the Jews] were forced to strip naked, lined up at a pit, and shot with machine-guns. On that day the German Gestapo and the gendarmerie shot 864 innocent inhabitants of Novo-Poltavka….
