Murder story of Demidowka Jews in the Demidówka Area

...[The opening] of mass grave No. 5 ([located in the] town of Demidówka) The size of the grave is 5 х 7 meters. [Ukrainian auxiliary] policemen, headed by Ivan Kovalchuk, shot fifty Jews taken from the ghetto of the town of Demidówka. During the examination of the bodies, we found bodies of victims with lethal wounds in the forehead, and broken arms and legs. As residents of the village of Bakiyma testified, [before the shooting] the German monsters had collected about fifty [Jewish] youth of this village [sic, for Demidóvka] and begun to torture them: hanging [the victims] by their legs from the ceiling, tying together [their] arms and legs, and then they hanged [them] from the ceiling for 15-20 hours.
