Some Jews were shot later, apparently together with some non-Jews, near the railway bridge over the Ubort River. Probably those were Jews who had been found hiding after the major [murder] operation or had been taken from nearby villages.

A.- Yes, but the thing is that they were not shot due to their ethnic origin. These people were shot as Communists and Komsomol members. Among them were some Jews. There are mass graves there….

Semyon Fishman, who was born in 1928 in Olevsk and lived there during the war years, testified:
…Our mother and two [Jewish] girls were shot. We still do not know where their graves are. Rumors say that it is somewhere in the area of the railway bridge over the Ubort River.
