Murder Site
Aleksandriya
Ukraine (USSR)
The Jewish men of Aleksandriya were forced under the roofed area of a storehouse. The Germans sawed through the pillars of the roof so that it collapsed and crushed the Jewish men. The Germans then stamped on the roof in order to press it down further. Those [Jews] who tried to get out from under the roof were immediately shot. Later searches were carried out in order to find any Jews who were hiding; they were then also taken to the murder site.

The ChGK report from Aleksandriya
The Fascist monsters forced innocent civilians, Jewish men, under the roof of the storehouse. Then they sawed the pillars of the roof so that the roof collapsed onto the heads of the people who were under it. The Gestapo men stampled on the roof and pressed it down further with their own weight. Those [Jews] who managed to get out from under the roof were shot on the spot. After large groups of the Jewish population had been murdered, a roundup of individuals [who had somehow survived] were carried out. The individuals who were caught were abused, the young women were raped and beaten, and all of them were taken to the place of the general massacre [to be killed there].
