In 1943 more than 40 Jews of Porkhov were killed. The murder site was probably the Polyakova farmstead (near the Porkhov linen factory), where groups of non-Jewish Porkhov civilians were murdered as well.

... In 1943 the Hitlerites perpetuated a bloody massacre against the Jews. On one night alone more than 40 Jews were shot. Among them were [Jews with the last names] Meyer, Korob, Liberman, Kalem, Tiron, Tsypkin, Kaplan, Pasova, Vitkin, Lyakhovsky, Markhatin. It was impossible to identify the other victims of the Fascist kommandatura....
