From the activity report of Local Commandants Office II/576 (V) Bakhchisarai, for the period between July 1-15, 1942
... The SD reports that in the period from July 1-15, 1942 they arrested and drowned 1,029 Jews. Most of the Jews originally came from the Tole POW Camp; some of them [18 Krymchak Jews] were refugees who had been held in the refugee camp. Among the Jews were two politruks (political officers) and one commissar....
