Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and all Jewish Holidays.

Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10. Babies in strollers or carriers will not be permitted to enter.

The Untold Stories

The internet project Untold Stories - Murder Sites of Jews in Occupied Territories of the USSR aims to map all murder sites of the Holocaust in the USSR by giving detailed information on murder events that took place in different locations. The project includes Soviet and German reports, textual-, visual- and audio-testimonies.

Jews in the Red Army, 1941-1945

The internet project "Jews in the Red Army, 1941 – 1945" is dedicated to the Jewish soldiers who participated in World War II. The project, that is based on personal stories shows that the Holocaust, antisemitism under Nazi occupation and in the Soviet interior, and in the Red Army influenced the identity of Soviet Jews during the war period and its aftermath.

 

Jews and Non-Jews During the Holocaust in the USSR

The project "Jews and Non-Jews During the Holocaust in the USSR: The Perspective of Inter-ethnic Relations" focuses on images of Jews and non-Jews of each other in the pre-war and World War II period. The first stage of the project, a workshop, in which leading researchers from different countries participated was held in November 2016. A collection of articles based on the topic will be published in 2019 by Yad Vashem.

There is an additional list for those who write seminar papers and referats. Students who do not choose this option, will be obliged  to submit, instead, two short (two-three) page papers (first - until July 23 and second – until August 20, 2017) in which they discuss a separate topic (an article) taken from the lists.
