Scholarship Program
As part of its goal of supporting young scholars, the Moshe Mirilashvili Center is offering research scholarships in the sum of $1,500 for PhD students who are writing a dissertation on aspects of the Holocaust in the USSR or the life of Jews in the USSR during World War II, including their antecedents and aftermath.
Requirements
Only PhD candidates, who are enrolled in a college or university PhD program, in which a dissertation will be submitted, are invited to send their applications.
Application Guidelines
All application materials and recommendations must be received by 1 October 2022. Late applications will not be accepted.
Selected PhD students will be notified by 15 November 2022.
An application consists of:
- An up-to-date Curriculum Vitae outlining the applicant’s qualifications (including languages, previous coursework, research projects, presentations, and publications).
- A PhD dissertation abstract of no more than 500 words (including the title of the dissertation and a discussion of the methodological and theoretical issues).
- A recommendation letter from one of the dissertation advisers. To preserve the confidentiality of recommendation letters, faculty recommenders must email or fax their signed letters (on institutional letterhead) directly to shlomit.shulchani@yadvashem.org.il, fax: +97226443479.
