Dr. Tikva Fatal-Knaani, researcher and editor, received her PhD from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1995 for her thesis, The Jewish Community in Grodno, and Its Vicnity during the Second World War and the Holocaust, 1939-1944. She was Head of Yad Vashem’s Testimonies Division and the Russian Division from 1988-2009, and Director of the The International Institute for Holocaust Research from 1998-2009.
