Brazilian President at Yad Vashem Tomorrow

The President of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lulu da Silva, accompanied by the First Lady Marisa Leticia Lula da Silva, will visit Yad Vashem tomorrow, March 16, 2010. He will visit the Holocaust History Museum, including the Hall of Names, participate in a memorial ceremony in the Hall of Remembrance, visit the Children’s Memorial, and sign the Yad Vashem Guest Book. President Shimon Peres, and Chairman of the Yad Vashem Council Rabbi Israel Meir Lau will participate in the Memorial Ceremony.

Following are media arrangments for his visit:

9:00: Arrival + Tour of the Holocaust History Museum - CLOSED

Hall of Names in the Holocaust History Museum: Photo-Op-POOL

10:10: Memorial Ceremony, Hall of Remembrance - OPEN

10:20: Children’s Memorial - CLOSED to Cameras

10:30: Signing of the Guest Book, Exit from the Children’s Memorial - OPEN

Media who wish to cover the President’s visit MUST REGISTER at: 02 644 3410 and arrive at the Hall of Remembrance, with a valid GPO card, by 9:30.
