Remembering Eliezer Ayalon z"l

Enrichment Training for Educational Guides

On 9 December 2016, enrichment training took place for educational guides of the International School for Holocaust Studies as part of a new program dedicated to Eliezer Ayalon z"l, who devoted his life to Holocaust education at Yad Vashem and around the world. He remains a much missed figure at Yad Vashem. To mark the dedication in his name, Eliezer's family spent the afternoon at Yad Vashem, and his granddaughter, Yifat, opened the moving ceremony for about 50 people at the beginning of the training session with some words remembering her grandfather and his legacy. There was a light reception before and after the session, which culminated in festive Chanukah candle lighting.
