Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10. Babies in strollers or carriers will not be permitted to enter.

At the National Holocaust Remembrance Day Ceremony in Ottawa on 15 May, organized by the Canadian Society for Yad Vashem, the Hon. Jason Kenney, representing the Canadian government, lit a candle to commemorate the six million Jews who were murdered.

He was joined by Holocaust survivors, Yad Vashem Benefactors. Max and Gianna Glassman and Yad Vashem Pillar, Joe Gottdenker , Joe's wife, Lori Gottdenker, Canadian Society Supporter Lou Greenbaum, Holocaust survivor and pillar of the community Wolf Lebovic; and Canadian Society Executive Director Yaron Ashkenazi.

It was attended by some 500 dignitaries, Holocaust survivors, educators, students, and members of the public.

Toronto, 27 April. The ceremony, attended by about 1500 people, was organized by the Canadian Society for Yad Vashem in conjunction with the Sarah and Chaim Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre, UJA Federation of Greater Toronto.

The Seminar takes place at Yad Vashem’s International School for Holocaust Studies.

Executive Director of the Canadian Society for Yad Vashem, Yaron Ashkenazi, presented Erin with a special certificate in the presence of her parents, Kumari and Eric Sade.

They visited the Holocaust History Museum, the International School for Holocaust Studies and the Yad Vashem Archives.

They were accompanied by Yad Vashem Archives Director and Fred Hillman Chair of Holocaust Documentation Dr. Haim Gertner (right) and Conservation Laboratory Director Varda Gross (second from left), who informed them of the most recent archival restoration projects.
