On November 18th, 2001, H.E. Mr. Guy Verhofstadt, President of the European Union and Prime Minister of Belgium, and H.E. Mr. Roman Prody, President of the European Commission visited Yad Vashem. Also in the delegation were H.E. Mr. Louis Michel, Vice Prime Minister and Belgian Foreign Minister, and H.E. Dr. Javier Solana, Secretary General of the Council of the European Union and High Representative for common foreign and security policy.
