On September 11-13, 2001, the Education Working Group meeting of the Task Force for International Cooperation on Holocaust Education, Remembrance and Research took place at the International School for Holocaust Studies at Yad Vashem. Representatives from Austria, Germany, Italy, Israel, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, UK and the US attended the proceedings which were closed to the public. In addition to participating in the working group meetings, Task Force members received a "behind the scenes" visit to the Yad Vashem Archives with Dr. Yaacov Lozowick as well as a guided tour of the construction site of the new visitor's center, scheduled to open in the spring of 2002.
